Miss Can has a modern design and a beautiful story.
Can you tell me a little bit about both and why Miss Can even came to Copenhagen?
Tiago // In 2015 we won the PNIC Portugal, a Creative Portuguese Industries Award which led us to represent Portugal at the CBC Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen.
We knew we didn’t have a change against the others 51 national winners presented there. So, we decided to start the contest 12 days before and take our point of sale, a 24 year old Piaggio APE 50, from Portugal to Copenhagen, through the Portuguese community, in a very emotional and epic journey. We travelled more than 7.000km across 8 countries, and visited 19 cities in 10 days. For each day, we prepared tasting events allowing people to get acquainted with our products and, therefore, increase our sales perspectives and open new distribution channels.
It was quite a trip!
In the end, we won the Arla Food Innovation Challenge – food and design category – and that year we were also chosen amongst the 12 most creative businesses in the world. An achievement never before won for Portugal!
With the two awards, we opened a small restaurant, the house of Miss Can, called Petiscaria Miss Can, near one of the most visited points in Lisbon – Saint Jorge´s Castle.
That’s Miss Can DNA: tradition, spirit of adventure and discovery.
